Restorative Dentistry
Leading-Edge Treatment
for Missing or Damaged Teeth
If you are suffering the discomfort of missing or malformed teeth, Cosmopolitan Dental is highly qualified to restore your dental health and put a smile back on your face.
We offer several solutions for one or more missing teeth:
Dental implants are the most secure and natural solution available. A dental implant acts as a permanent anchor for an artificial replacement tooth. After the implant has been surgically placed and healed, we attach a permanent crown that looks and feels exactly like a natural tooth. If you are looking at new solutions for full or partial mouth reconstruction, we can eliminate the need for dentures altogether with four or more implants. Read more about our dental implant program.
Bridges provide a good nonsurgical option if you have at least one healthy tooth on either side of the gap to hold the restoration in place.

Dentures can restore the healthy function and appearance of your mouth when you’ve lost multiple teeth, keeping facial muscles from sagging as well as making it easy to eat, talk and smile. Dentures can be complete, providing a full set of teeth for your upper and/or lower arches. Or they can be partial, replacing a set of missing teeth when there are no adjacent or posterior teeth to hold a bridge in place. We give equal attention to beauty and function so that we can promise dentures that look as great as they feel.

Popular Cosmetic Dental Treatments

Tooth Whitening: Today there are many over-the-counter products available, but none work as well as the system we use in our office, with breathtaking results in one visit.

Porcelain veneers: We use veneers as a cosmetic treatment to conceal and protect damaged surfaces of teeth. Thin shells of porcelain are applied to the treated tooth to cover its visible flaws. You’ll enjoy rapid improvement in your appearance with minimal natural-tooth reduction.

Crowns: When you have a cracked, broken or decayed tooth that can’t be restored with a traditional filling, a crown can be fabricated to fit over the damaged tooth and match your existing teeth. Crowns can be made of porcelain, high-strength ceramic or gold.

Expert Detection and Removal of Wisdom Teeth and Other Problem Teeth

Whether you are concerned about emerging wisdom teeth (third molars) or you have an infected tooth that needs to be removed, Midwest Dental will detect and treat problems with compassion, expertise and gentleness.

Accurate diagnosis is the first step toward the effective treatment of problem teeth. Dr. Ngo is an expert at detecting the size, position and condition of wisdom teeth. She is also highly-trained and experienced in evaluating dental conditions such as infections or trauma that can affect the long-term health of your teeth. You can trust her recommendations for whether a tooth needs to be extracted or can be treated in place.

When extraction is the most appropriate solution, we understand the anxiety this can cause. So we make it our goal to provide an experience that is so comfortable that, by the time you’re ready for treatment, you feel completely at ease.

Taking the pain away

Our patients generally like to know what they will feel during the procedure. We will discuss your sedation options in advance and give you time to decide which is right for you. For most wisdom tooth extractions, we offer local anesthesia and conscious sedation for single or less complicated extractions, and will always make sure to explain the option you prefer.

Same-day follow-up

Since extractions may cause pain or swelling, we will always check in with you after your procedure to make sure you are comfortable and recovering well. We can answer any concerns you have and discuss your pain medication, if needed.

When you’re suffering from tooth or jaw pain, you should never wait to have it evaluated. You deserve an accurate diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.

We’ll work to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you, during which Dr. Ngo will do a thorough evaluation to detect the cause of your pain. If she diagnoses infected pulp within the root of your tooth, she may recommend a root canal to preserve the tooth.

A root canal is a nonsurgical treatment that can be done with local anesthesia. It involves removing the damaged pulp, cleaning the root canal system and sealing the tooth with a filling or crown. Since your comfort is our first priority, we will make sure you feel at ease before, during and after the procedure. Generally you should be free to return to work or home directly after treatment and resume normal activities.

Dental Hygiene for the Entire Family

The three most effective things you can do to maintain healthy, attractive teeth are brushing, flossing and regular visits to your dentist. At Midwest Dental, our primary focus is on prevention—preserving your natural teeth and the health of your gums and jawbone.

At every checkup, one of our dental hygienists will give you a thorough and gentle teeth cleaning. Dr Ngo will then meet with you to evaluate the condition of your teeth and mouth. As part of your routine health maintenance, we will take periodic digital X-rays and intraoral pictures to detect cavities, tiny cracks in your teeth and any hidden problems that could cause further damage.

If we discover potential dental problems, we will review them with you and answer any questions you have. We will carefully go over the options we recommend for treatment—what is involved and what each option will cost. Our goal is to catch problems before they become painful or costly and treat you with the most effective and affordable solutions

We handle all dental emergencies during regular business hours and our highly efficient staff will get you in within 24 hours . After office hours you need to go to the nearest emergency room.
